Union Station

I spent an evening with this amazing family who I have had the pleasure of working with for a few years now. I love watching as these families grow and change and being a part of their memories. We wanted to shoot down at Union Station last year but as many of you know, found that is was under construction. So with much anticipation we waited it out and had a great time down there last night! I was a bit concerned on the drive over as it was pouring down rain. Thank goodness the weather acted in true Colorado style and the sun came back and presented us a with a beautiful evening for our session. Thanks for hanging out with me for a bit! xo - Bree

Ready, Set...Shoot! DSLR 101 {March23, 2013}

A very special thank you to our three models that braved the cold today! All of them were rock stars and didn't even seem a bit phased by the freezing temperatures or the snow falling all around them. Meanwhile, we were all bundled up in huge coats, boots and gloves. Oh and did I happen to mention that there were many, many cameras?!? After the kids left, I was brave and took my turn in front of the lenses and let me just say, they pulled it off much better than I did. That was quite intimidating and they did it was such class and style!

These kids helped a fabulous group of women learn all about that DSLR that has been stuck on auto for so long...YES!!! By the end of class absolutely everybody was shooting in manual with ease and taking some beautiful pictures. I can't wait to see what these ladies come up with now that the confusion over lenses, aperture, white balance and exposure is gone. Metering...no longer a mystery! Go get 'em girls!!!

The "T" Family - Mini Session

Such an amazing family! There is just something I love about impromptu sessions. Sometimes the best memories come together when there was no time to pre-plan...after all, isn't that how life really works. Thank you guys for this wonderful evening. I had a great time laughing with you and look forward to the next time!

The Last Few Days of My 365

Oh boy did I fail miserably at this! I loved the idea, but in all actuality the time to do this was very limited. I may not take on such an ambitious challenge next year! I have very much enjoyed looking back through all of the images I did squeeze in and hope to finish out the year with a daily photo now that the business side of life is slowing for year's end. What an awesome ride 2011 has been though! Today's 365...my beautiful baby girl pondering the serious things if life: arts & crafts or dress up. =)
